  We are sad to report longtime 77 member Stanley "Jake" Jacobs passed away Sunday February 21, 2010 in Florida.

Jake was a previous Business Representative of Local 77 and had retired from our Metro Bargaining Unit.

Jake will be greatly missed.

Senate Bill 5492 allows our workers at the Columbia Generating Station arbitration rights should bargaining come to an impasse.  The passing of this Legislative Bill took many years and is a result of not only our PAC member’s participation, but our members at the Columbia Generating Station rolling up their sleeves and working hard to get this Bill passed.  This is a great example of our members getting involved to make positive changes to their workplace.

A special thanks to Alan Sage, Tom McMahon, and Spencer Clark for their hard work and assistance in getting Senate Bill 5492 passed.  A copy of this signed Bill, and several other important Legislative Bills, are on display in all three of our offices.
